ISO 14025
ISO 14025 provides principles and procedures for Type III environmental declaration programmes and their controlled use.

Sustainable Product DeclarationControlled project service
SPD is delivered as a controlled professional service. Metrilize connects evidence, method, calculation, independent review and disclosure without turning a product claim into a marketing shortcut.
The resulting technical file retains its declared scope, evidence lineage, methodological basis and review pathway—so external communication remains specific, traceable and properly limited.
SPD DELIVERY PATHWAY
Each stage has a distinct accountable owner. The next stage cannot be bypassed by a commercial deadline or by a favourable result.
Establish the applicant, product family, declared unit, production site, intended boundary and applicable PCG.
Available within a controlled projectRecord product data, material flows, energy, transport, data periods, evidence quality and eligible factors.
Available within a controlled projectThe calculation manifest records the approved method, factor version, boundary, input-set hash and output status.
Available within a controlled projectProduct-, site-, supplier- and organisation-level evidence remains explicitly separated; no ESG score is inferred.
Available within a controlled projectAn assigned reviewer declares conflicts, tests evidence and method consistency, and raises or closes findings.
Available within a controlled projectThe technical dossier contains results, inventory, factors, quality, assumptions, limits, definitions and controlled claim wording.
Available within a controlled projectThe Programme Decision Authority sees the controlled technical file and review outcome; it does not replace the reviewer.
Available within a controlled projectFor issued real cases, this covers version history, validity, status and future registry/QR controls. Synthetic cases remain permanently blocked.
Available within a controlled projectREPORT OUTPUT
Its format will be expanded from a controlled data model—not filled with generic sustainability language. It will identify the product, site, boundary, declared unit, methodology, datasets/factors, results, data quality, limitations, selected ESG disclosures, review conclusion and glossary.
Methodological references
The Sustainable Product Declaration pathway is informed by internationally recognised declaration and life-cycle references. The applicable programme rules and product-category requirements are confirmed for each controlled project.
ISO 14025 provides principles and procedures for Type III environmental declaration programmes and their controlled use.
Life-cycle principles, framework, requirements and review concepts inform the agreed technical assessment route.
Where a construction-product declaration is in scope, the relevant construction-product rules and programme requirements are confirmed before assessment.
The product category rule or programme category guidance defines the product-specific boundary, data, scenario and disclosure requirements for the declared route.
These references inform the methodology; they do not by themselves mean that a product is certified to, compliant with, or verified against every referenced standard. The applicable programme, scope, evidence, independent review and decision process determine the permitted output and communication.
